Great Teacher Onizuka


Synopsis
Onizuka is an ex-biker and gang leader who has one goal, to become the greatest teacher. He learns of the power and respect possible as an intern teacher, using his strength and connections to get his students to respect him. Now, graduated, he gets a job at a prestigious private school to handle their 'problem class' that made the past few teachers quit. He must handle a different sort of trouble when the trouble makers include some of the smartest kids in Japan who prefer a more cerebral approach to torturing their teacher. Onizuka must slowly win his students over and deal with their mistrust of teachers while handling the distrust of his fellow teachers.

And yet another "classic" ^^
Over 10 years old it has set a lot of standards for school/comedy animes...

If u already seen a lot of the newer ones (School Rumble etc) u maybe wont have 2 much fun with this one, but IMO its still great despite its age

Characters
Eikichi Onizuka
Eikichi Onizuka is 22 years old, an ex-biker, and a virgin. He is a tough guy, both foul mouthed and foul mannered. He has a unique goal for someone like him; Onizuka wants to be the Greatest High School teacher in the world. This goes hand in hand with his goal to score with as many nubile female students as possible.


Azusa Fuyutsuki
Azusa Fuyutsuki is a female teacher that started teaching the same day Onizuka did. Their meeting was rather interesting. Onizuka was in the train going to school when he noticed this pretty woman get in front of him. The train was crowded, so he had the bright idea to grab her behind. What he didn't expect was for vice principal Uchiyamada to get there first! So Onizuka saved Fuyutsuki-chan from her molester! Throughout the series he encourages her to be a better teacher, and eventually she does fall for him.


Urumi Kanzaki
One of the few people who actually had Onizuka on a leash for a while. Super smart and super pretty...two things that she uses to her advantage to get her revenge on all teachers. From letting a garden snake bite Onizuka's crotch, to setting the science teacher on fire, she does it all without leaving any proof that she did it. Hell, she even blew up the whole school without getting in trouble.


Yoshito Kikuchi
The "nerd" of class 3-4, Kikuchi strikes the first salvo against Onizuka after his arrival in Holy Forest. He uses his computer expertise to doctor a number of lewd and provocative pictures to make it appear Onizuka has kinky tastes. But Yoshikawa tips off Onizuka that the pictures are fakes. He offered to tell who was doing them, but Onizuka refused. He'd figure it out for himself and catches Kikuchi in the act.


Kunio Murai
Among the more immature of the students of class 3-4, Murai and his two buddies make up the "punks" of the class.Murai was scared and furious of Onizuka at first because he was afraid Onizuka would hit on his mother, who's only 27 (Murai is the son of a teen mother). He tries to play practical jokes on Onizuka until he and and buddies ran a foul of a gang. After a wild ordeal in which Onizuka eventually bails them out, Murai gets the message and chills out, especially once it's clear that Onizuka's not pursuing Murai's mother in any serious way.


Ryuji Danma
Onizuka's best friend. The two have looked out for each other since their rebellious biker days. After they grew up, the two took on somewhat different paths. Whereas Onizuka floundered somewhat, Ryuji enrolled in technical school and became certified as a mechanic. He worked up from there, to the point that he's now manager of a bike shop.
