SynopsisWhen Yuki was little she was attacked by a vampire only to be saved by one, Kaname Kuran. Ten years later she is now the gaurdian at Cross Academy, where both humans and vampires attend. She alongside Zero Kiryu protect the day class(humans) from the night class(vampires) and guard the dark secret of the academy, that the night class are all full of vampires.

Yuuki Cross
Yuki is the adoptive daughter of the headmaster of Cross academy. When she was only a child a vampire had attacked her and she was saved by another vampire(Kaname) who then took her to headmaster Cross whom took care of her from there on.She now works as a guardian and prefect for the academy and continues to watch over both the day class and night class, headed by Kaname who she seems to like.

Zero Kiryuu
He is Yuki's friend and also a guardian and prefect(school disciplinary committee). He has a cold demenour and doesn't really let Yuki get too close to him. Zero's family was killed by vampires when he was young and he now bears a strong hatred towards vampires. In a cruel twist of fate he is also turned into a vampire himself.

Kaname is a purebreed vampire of the highest class and is even feared and respected amongst his peers. He is the leader of the night class(vampires). He was the one who saved Yuki when she was a child and seems to be very fond of her.
